My Major and Future

Hey my name is Mikayla Drab and I'm currently a student at Pace University in New York City, studying Communication Studies however I'm not totally sure as to what I want to do as a set career. 

Why I Chose Pace and My Major?

The main reason as why I chose to come to this university was mainly because they offered me so much money in scholarships and grants. However, it wasn't my dream school and still isn't. Also the reason I am studying communication studies is mainly because there was nothing else that truly interested me here. Which is why I am hoping to transfer out within the next two semester.

Below I have included all of the courses I am currently taking this semester and on which days. My favorite is my How The Entertainment Industry Works which is what peaked my interest in transferring.

Future Intentions

Because I had such an interests in my entertainment class, it really peaked my interest in being apart of the music industry. Whether it be working for a record label and managing a band or organizing a tour and the venues they can perform at. Hope to transfer to the University of New Haven to study music business.

I also have a love for photography and would love to get even more involved in concert photography which could also be a potential career in the music industry. One of my favorite photographers actually became a the touring photographer for my favorite band Panic! At The Disco. You can click here to see Jake Chams work from the tour.

Working for the record label Fueled By Ramen would be an absolute dream come true as a career. Hopefully one day, after gaining the skill and knowledge of the music industry, I can find my way into this company.
